Pablo García transfers from Real Betis to Racing Santander
Pablo García, a 20-year-old forward who joined Real Betis at age five, has transferred to Racing Santander in a deal worth approximately 5.5 million euros for 50 percent of his economic rights. The move, finalized during the final hours of the transfer window, was driven by Betis's need to comply with La Liga's Financial Fair Play regulations and create salary space for the return of Dani Ceballos.
The transfer has drawn significant emotional attention after videos went viral showing García and his mother in tears as they left the club's training facilities. Having progressed through every level of the Betis academy, García is the first player in the club's history to complete that entire pathway to the first team.
García has signed a contract with Racing Santander through June 30, 2030. Despite the difficult departure, his father, Ramón García, stated that the player intends to give his all to his new club to continue his professional growth and secure more playing time.
