Pablo Giannini takes leave amid legal fee allegations

Pablo Giannini, the Deputy State Prosecutor in the Fiscalía de Estado of Entre Ríos, has begun an indefinite leave of absence following allegations of financial misconduct.

Suspicion has arisen regarding a lawsuit involving the General Council of Education (CGE) against the Municipality of Paraná. While Giannini successfully litigated the case, it is alleged that the resulting legal fees were deposited into his personal bank account rather than being distributed according to Law No. 7.296. Under this law, 50% of such fees must go to the Fiscalía de Estado and the remaining 50% must be distributed among the agency's legal staff.

The situation has caused significant tension within the organization, exacerbated by viral audio recordings in which Giannini reportedly used derogatory terms to describe his colleagues. The matter remains unresolved as the official remains on leave.
