Pablo Iglesias' Canal Red launches on Movistar Plus

Movistar Plus, the pay‑TV platform of Telefónica, began broadcasting Canal Red, the television channel run by former vice‑president and ex‑Podemos leader Pablo Iglesias. The channel started regular transmissions on Wednesday, 5 August, on dial 150 after weeks of technical testing.

Canal Red’s schedule focuses on political news, analysis and debate, featuring programmes such as “La Base”, “Al Lío”, “Sinsonte” and “En ocasiones veo fraudes”. Its addition brings the total to 167 linear channels on Movistar Plus, which now serves about 3.9 million subscribers.
