Pablo Prigioni named lead assistant coach for Minnesota Timberwolves

Pablo Prigioni has been named the lead assistant coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves. The promotion follows the departure of Micah Nori, who left to become the head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers.

Under head coach Chris Finch, Prigioni’s new responsibilities will focus on shaping the team's offense and guiding player development. Prigioni, an Argentine-Italian with extensive experience as both a player and coach, has been with the Timberwolves staff previously and also serves as the head coach for the Argentina senior national team.

Prigioni’s professional background includes a lengthy playing career in Europe and the NBA, where he notably became the oldest rookie in NBA history when he joined the New York Knicks at age 35. His coaching career includes stints with Baskonia and the Brooklyn Nets.
