Pabst Blue Ribbon truck stolen in massive California beer heist

A commercial truck carrying approximately 40,000 pounds of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer was stolen from an Anheuser-Busch distribution center in Montclair, California. The theft, which may be one of the largest beer heists on record, involved thieves posing as a transport company using fraudulent documentation to collect two separate shipments worth roughly $70,000.

The stolen cargo includes the equivalent of more than 50,000 cans of PBR, along with nearly 200 cases of Old Milwaukee Non-Alcoholic beer. Pabst Blue Ribbon has addressed the incident via social media, issuing a timed ultimatum to the thieves. The company stated that the perpetrators have exactly 18 days and 44 minutes to return the truck and cargo “no questions asked,” while also offering a reward for information leading to a resolution.

Local authorities, including the Montclair Police Department, are investigating the theft. Pabst has urged the public to report any sightings of the vehicle and has emphasized the importance of keeping the beer cold.
