Mexico municipalities implement diverse public works and safety initiatives
Various municipal and state governments across Mexico are implementing diverse public works and safety initiatives. In Puebla, the state government is modernizing the Acatzingo-Felipe Ángeles highway corridor in coordination with the federal administration to improve regional mobility and economic development.
In other regions, local authorities are focusing on urban infrastructure. Saltillo is rehabilitating roads in the El Toreo sector, while Tijuana is investing over 8.5 million pesos in hydraulic concrete paving for the Ejido Francisco Villa area. Chihuahua has also begun paving projects in the Revolución neighborhood, and Tonalá has allocated 428 million pesos for various public works, including a new autism center.
Public safety and community services are also seeing updates. Pachuca is improving lighting in 11 parks to enhance security, and Saltillo has deployed a police operation for the return to school season. Additionally, Salvador Alvarado has completed school bathroom rehabilitations, and Zapopan has opened a new community center for seniors in La Magdalena.
