Pachuca wildlife unit expands professional training programs

The Wildlife and Wild Rehabilitation Unit in Pachuca is strengthening its professional service and internship programs. The initiative allows students from various disciplines—including Veterinary Medicine, Biology, Natural Resource Engineering, Graphic Design, Communication, and Education—to gain practical experience in wildlife management, animal welfare, and environmental education.

To date, approximately 70 students have participated in the program, applying classroom knowledge to conservation and biodiversity protection activities. The program has established academic links with 16 higher education institutions across Mexico and other countries, including the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
