Pacific airlines resume key regional flight routes
Fiji Airways has reinstated direct flights between Nadi and Nouméa, restoring a direct air link between Fiji and New Caledonia. The twice-weekly service, operating on Tuesdays and Fridays, adds more than 10,000 seats annually. The route, utilizing Fiji Link’s ATR 72-600 aircraft, is intended to support business, tourism, and professional travel between the two regional centers.
Separately, Samoa Airways has announced the restoration of scheduled flights between Fagali‘i on Upolu and Maota in Savai’i. Starting October 8, the service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The airline aims to provide faster travel options and more efficient emergency service alternatives between the islands, with one-way fares ranging from $200 to $400 return.
