Pacific Highway crash leaves teenager injured

A teenage woman was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital following a serious collision between a car and a semi-trailer on the Pacific Highway near Karuah. The accident occurred around 12:30 am on Sunday, August 23, near Tarean Road.

Emergency responders, including NSW Ambulance and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, treated the teenager for multiple injuries, specifically to her face and abdomen. The driver of the semi-trailer was assessed for minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.

The southbound Pacific Highway was temporarily closed during the emergency operation. According to Live Traffic NSW, the road reopened and traffic delays were cleared by 4:00 am.
