Pacific Meta and RS Holdings launch on-chain finance joint venture
Pacific Meta and RS Holdings have established a joint venture, RSPM Digital Finance, to promote the social implementation of on-chain finance. The new company aims to utilize blockchain technology and stablecoins to develop next-generation financial infrastructure.
The venture intends to address the volatility issues associated with traditional cryptocurrencies by leveraging stablecoins for various applications. These include retail payments, business-to-business (B2B) settlements, international remittances, and corporate treasury management. The companies are reportedly already in discussions with major Japanese corporations regarding specific implementations.
RSPM Digital Finance will combine Pacific Meta’s technical and development expertise in blockchain with RS Holdings’ extensive network of domestic and international financial institutions, businesses, and investors. Shota Iwasaki, CEO of Pacific Meta, will serve as the President and Representative Director of the new company, while Kyoya Okazawa, a director at RS Holdings, will serve as Chairman.
RS Holdings, a holding company involved in renewable energy, battery storage, and real estate funds, aims to support the healthy development of on-chain finance in Japan through constructive dialogue with both public and private sectors regarding regulations and institutional frameworks.
