Pacific nations hold climate-smart food system training

The Agriculture Research Division and the Bioeconomy Science Institute conducted training sessions focused on climate-smart Pacific food systems. A two-day training program for 13 local farmers utilized interactive learning methods, including field demonstrations and hands-on sessions, to build agricultural capacity.

Additionally, the Bioeconomy Science Institute held a three-day Innovation Platform Workshop in Nadi, Fiji. The workshop brought together 53 participants from five Pacific nations—Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Fiji, and Tonga—to address food security and enhance resilience against climate change.
