Pacific Northwest film festivals announce 2026 lineups

Two film festivals in the Pacific Northwest have announced their 2026 programming.

The 11th annual Seattle Film Festival will be held from October 1–4 at the Tin Room Theater in Burien. The lineup includes the opening film ‘A Fateful Weekend’ directed by Tony Doupé and the closing feature ‘Beneath the Blue Suburban Skies’ written and directed by Edward Burns. The festival will also showcase emerging filmmakers, including works by Quinn Topper Marcus and Maxwell Barto Weidenfeld.

The 12th annual Orcas Island Film Festival is scheduled for October 14–18. The program features 43 feature-length films from 25 countries, including documentaries and official Academy Award submissions for Best International Feature Film. The festival's opening film is ‘The Only Living Pickpocket in New York,’ starring John Turturro.
