Pacific Partnership 2026 mission arrives in Malaysia

The Pacific Partnership 2026 (PP26) multinational humanitarian mission has reached its fourth stop in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. Approximately 250 personnel, including experts in medical, engineering, and disaster management, arrived to begin two weeks of collaborative engagements. The mission involves participants from the United States, Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and the United Kingdom, working alongside Malaysian military and civilian counterparts to bolster regional disaster preparedness.

Prior to arriving in Malaysia, the PP26 mission concluded its third stop in Dili, Timor-Leste. During that phase, a multinational force of 149 personnel, including members from the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, and Germany, collaborated with the Timor-Leste Defense Force. Key activities in Timor-Leste included infrastructure upgrades at the EBF Kasnafar school, involving roof replacements, water tank installations, and repairs to improve the learning environment for local students.
