Pacific Rally celebrates sailing season in New Caledonia

The Pacific Rally recently held a celebration in Nouméa to mark the conclusion of the South Pacific sailing season. The event brought together crews to celebrate their adventures in New Caledonia and prepare for their upcoming journeys toward Australia and New Zealand.

Island Cruising’s Pacific Rally is recognized as the largest flexible yacht rally in the world, supporting more than 260 yachts. This represents approximately 50% of the recreational fleet cruising the Pacific each season. The rally's format allows participants to customize itineraries while receiving support through shared experiences and connections to local marine services.

The Nouméa gathering was hosted by representatives from Bundaberg Port Marina, Scarborough Marina, and Port Moselle Marina, with support from Sud Tourisme New Caledonia and New Caledonia Tourism. The event featured traditional cultural dancing and French cuisine, providing a venue for sailors to exchange stories and strengthen ties between regional marinas and the cruising community.
