Pacific women's soccer earns historic road draw against Portland
The University of the Pacific women's soccer team earned its first-ever road point in program history following a 1-1 draw against the University of Portland at Merlo Field.
Pacific took an early lead in the 19th minute when Kaya Rosa scored her fifth goal of the season, assisted by Julie Valdez and Janelli Villagran. The Tigers maintained the 1-0 advantage through much of the match, supported by defensive efforts and saves from goalkeeper Ava Wells.
Portland secured the equalizer in the 85th minute when Hailey Bagby scored on a header following a free kick sequence involving Christina Davenport and Tayvi Khann. The result marks the first tie of the season for the Pilots and the first road point for the Tigers.
