PACMA gathers thousands in Madrid to protest bullfighting
The Animalist Party (PACMA) held its annual ‘Misión Abolición 2026’ demonstration in Madrid, gathering approximately 10,000 participants to demand the abolition of bullfighting and other bull-related festivities in Spain.
The march, which began and ended at Puerta del Sol, included various animal rights collectives and organizations from across the country. Protesters denounced the suffering of animals caused by bullfighting and criticized the use of public resources to support these spectacles. PACMA is calling for legislative changes to achieve a definitive ban on the practice.
The event featured speeches from party leaders, including national president Javier Luna, and included international representation from figures such as Dutch MEP Anja Hazekamp.
