Paco Morales to host Al-Andalus pastry workshop at Medina Azahara
Chef Paco Morales, known for his restaurant Noor, will lead a modern reinterpretation of Al-Andalus pastry traditions at the Medina Azahara archaeological site. The workshop, titled ‘Pastelería de Al-Ándalus en clave moderna’, is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, as part of the 2026 European Heritage Days.
The event aims to connect the historical and archaeological heritage of the former caliphal city with its culinary legacy. Due to its practical and theoretical nature, the workshop is limited to 15 participants. While the activity is free, interested individuals must apply via email on September 28 between 10:00 and 13:00, providing a brief explanation of their interest. Priority will be given to those involved in historical or archaeological food research and traditional pastry making.
