Pacto Global Chile hosts meeting on ESG business integration

More than 120 business leaders, authorities, and United Nations representatives gathered at the Universidad Andrés Bello in Chile for the Pacto Global Chile Annual General Managers Meeting. The event focused on the 2026 cycle, “The Business Case for Sustainability,” examining how Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments can be integrated into core decision-making to manage risks and create value.

The discussions emphasized shifting from a high volume of isolated initiatives toward verifiable contributions to business performance. This strategic approach requires coordination across various departments, including finance, operations, marketing, and human resources, to ensure sustainability efforts anticipate regulations, open new markets, and strengthen community ties.
