Padang regional initiatives focus on cultural preservation and community empowerment
The Padang City Government is collaborating with the Nanggalo Traditional Customary Council (KAN) to preserve local cultural values. This initiative, part of the 'Sinergi Nagari' program, aims to align government actions with traditional customs through a strategic five-year plan and revised regional regulations.
In a separate community development effort, PT Semen Padang has allocated Rp104 million in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds to the Lambung Bukit village forum. The funding supports two main pillars: professional security training for 10 residents from low-income households and a poultry farming program for nine residents who survived previous flash floods. The poultry project includes the provision of cages, feed, vaccines, and 110 day-old chicks.
Additionally, the Pertamina Foundation has launched the Bumi Patra Simprug Daycare in Jakarta. The facility provides childcare services for children aged three months to seven years, prioritizing employees of the Pertamina Foundation, Universitas Pertamina, and the Simprug Complex, while remaining open to the public.
