Donovan, a mandatory challenger for reigning IBF World Welterweight Champion Liam Paro, acknowledged the risk of potentially jeopardizing his title shot by taking the fight. However, he stated his desire to remain active while waiting for Paro’s next move. The event is expected to draw over 80,000 fans, marking the first professional boxing match at Croke Park in 54 years.

The Donovan vs. McKenna matchup represents the first All-Irish fight on a main card at the venue in a century.
