Padel tennis expands across Germany and Austria

The popularity of Padel tennis is driving significant infrastructure growth in Central Europe. In the Allgäu region of Germany, new facilities are opening to meet demand, including locations in Memmingen, Sonthofen, Kaufbeuren, and Erkheim. Some facilities, such as Padel Allgäu in Sonthofen, utilize fully automated systems for bookings and access via mobile applications.

In Austria, the Padel brand ‘Smash’ is undergoing a major expansion. The company currently has 25 courts in operation or under construction and aims to develop a pipeline of approximately 200 courts. The brand strategy focuses on creating a unified experience through high-quality artificial turf, consistent branding, and community-building initiatives such as workshops, ambassador programs, and social networking groups. Following its growth in Austria, Smash plans to expand into Germany and Hungary.
