Padel tennis facilities expand in Salzburg and Germany

The popularity of padel tennis continues to drive new infrastructure developments in Europe. In Salzburg, Austria, the Padelbase CUPRA Arena has officially opened, providing the city with its first year-round indoor facility. The arena, which features three courts, is a partnership between Padelbase and the automotive brand CUPRA, which serves as the main partner and naming rights holder.

In Germany, actors Franziska and Adnan Maral have expanded their involvement in the sport by opening a second padel facility in Germaringen, near Kaufbeuren. Operating under the family business name ‘pääädel GmbH’, the new site includes eight courts. The Marals established the business after identifying a lack of available facilities in the Landsberg region.
