Paderborn defeats Hoffenheim 3-1 for first Bundesliga win

Paderborn secured their first victory of the Bundesliga season with a 3-1 win against Hoffenheim. The match, part of the fourth round of the championship, saw Paderborn take a commanding 2-0 lead in the first half through goals from Santiago Castaneda in the 29th minute and Stefano Marino in the 42nd minute.

Following the halftime break, Hoffenheim attempted a comeback. Adam Dagim reduced the deficit in the 50th minute after an assist from Max Mörscheid. However, Paderborn responded in the 63rd minute when Stefan Tigges scored to restore the two-goal advantage, finalizing the result at 3-1.

With this win, Paderborn moves to 12th place in the standings, while Hoffenheim remains in 14th place following their third loss of the campaign. Paderborn will next face Stuttgart, while Hoffenheim is scheduled to play Hamburger SV.
