PADI and Akazawa Diving Center to host marine conservation event

PADI Asia Pacific Japan and the Akazawa Diving Center will co-host a marine conservation and diving event on November 28, 2026, in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Under the theme “Dive, Play, and Clean the Sea,” the event aims to combine recreational diving with environmental protection activities.

The main program features the “Dive Against Debris” underwater cleanup, where participants will collect marine litter to increase awareness of ocean pollution. PADI staff will provide lectures and support participants in obtaining the “PADI Dive Against Debris Diver Specialty” certification.

Other scheduled activities include boat dives, night dives, and equipment demonstrations by diving gear manufacturers. While event participation is free, separate fees for diving services and instruction apply.
