Italy police investigate Bitonto death and Padova construction fatality
Authorities in Italy are investigating two separate fatal incidents.
In Bitonto, 32-year-old Alessandro Brilli was found dead on the entrance ramp of the local healthcare facility (Pta). Investigators report that two hooded individuals in a dark Audi RS3 without license plates allegedly abandoned him at the site during the night. While no gunshot wounds were immediately identified, Brilli suffered traumatic injuries to his head. Police are currently reviewing surveillance footage to identify the suspects and reconstruct the vehicle's route.
In Padova, a 51-year-old construction company owner of Albanian origin, identified as Altin Kokici, died after falling into an elevator shaft at a renovation site in via Goito. His family raised the alarm after he failed to return home. Police located his body during a nighttime search by following the sound of his ringing mobile phone. Investigators are examining the site to determine the exact circumstances of the fall and to ensure safety regulations were being followed.
