Padstow petrol station crash narrowly misses pedestrian
A black sedan crashed into a petrol station in Padstow, Sydney, on a Friday afternoon, narrowly missing a pedestrian. CCTV footage shows the vehicle swerving across lanes and crashing into a bowser, causing a cloud of dust and debris.
A white ute was also observed entering the station during the incident. Despite the violent impact, which caused a bowser to partially collapse, no injuries were reported for the driver or the pedestrian who had to duck for cover.
Police conducted a roadside breath test on the 33-year-old driver, which returned a negative result. The driver was issued a $577 traffic infringement notice for negligent driving (no death or grievous bodily harm).
