PAE Fires Launches Reveille Forge Integrated Development Environment

Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Fires has opened Reveille Forge, an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. The facility builds on the momentum from the Army’s Pathway for Innovation and Technology (PIT) and the first API Marketplace that went live on May 6, as part of Operation Jailbreak Sprint 1.

Reveille Forge is designed as a permanent, lean‑footprint hackathon environment that can quickly surge to integrate new capabilities for immediate deployment to operational theaters. Operation Jailbreak’s initial sprint focused on countering unmanned aerial system and integrated air‑and‑missile‑defense threats, bringing together more than 50 companies, 600 participants, and “jailbreaking” over 70 previously isolated capabilities.

The new IDE institutionalizes the rapid‑to‑integration (R2I) process, enabling ongoing collaboration among industry, government, and academia. Lt. Gen. Frank Lozano highlighted that the effort shows what is possible when these sectors stop working in silos and work as one team.
