Pafos FC draws 1-1 with Riga in Conference League

Pafos FC secured a 1-1 draw against Riga in their Conference League League Phase match at the Alphamega Stadium. After a difficult first half where Riga controlled the tempo and missed several opportunities, including a goal disallowed by VAR for offside, the home side improved their performance in the second half.

Biel equalized for Pafos in the 77th minute following an assist from Sema. Despite late attempts to secure a victory, the match ended in a stalemate, a result that limits Pafos's chances of advancing in the competition.

Financially, the draw resulted in a lower bonus for the club compared to a win. Instead of the expected €400,000, the team earned €133,000 for the result. Combined with the €3,170,000 secured from their participation in the tournament, Pafos has guaranteed revenues of €3,303,000 to date, a figure expected to rise based on future performance and UEFA ranking distributions.
