Pag-IBIG Fund maintains low housing loan rates for Filipino workers
Pag-IBIG Fund is maintaining low housing loan rates to ensure homeownership remains affordable for Filipino workers, despite an environment of rising commercial lending costs. This initiative is part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (Expanded 4PH) Program.
To support this goal, the agency is offering a subsidized 3 percent interest rate for qualified socialized housing borrowers, along with special promotional rates. Additionally, the housing loan limit has been increased to ₱10 million. Pag-IBIG is also expanding its partnerships with major residential developers to provide members with more suitable housing options.
Jose Ramon P. Aliling, Secretary of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development and chair of the Pag-IBIG Board of Trustees, stated that these measures provide a practical way for workers to pursue homeownership even as commercial loans become more expensive.
