Pagani Hospital faces overcrowding issues for oncology patients
Patients at the Tortora Hospital in Pagani are reporting significant difficulties regarding access to care, particularly for those undergoing oncological treatment. Reports indicate that patients are forced to arrive as early as 7:00 AM to secure a place, despite the service desk not opening until 8:30 AM.
The lack of a numerical queuing system or a transparent procedure for managing arrival orders has reportedly led to overcrowding, misunderstandings, and occasional confrontations among patients. Local representatives, including Deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli and Regional Councilor Carlo Ceparano, have called for immediate verification by the hospital management and the local health authority (ASL) to implement an orderly and dignified access system.
