Pahang accelerates infrastructure and welfare development projects

The Pahang State Government is advancing several large-scale infrastructure and social welfare initiatives. In Maran, Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB) has completed a RM11.19 million pipe replacement project. This 29.6-kilometer project aims to resolve long-standing water supply issues and reduce non-revenue water (NRW) for approximately 10,000 residents.

Additionally, the state is overseeing a RM350 million Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) grid project centered in Kampung Awah, Maran, which serves as a critical component of the national energy grid.

Regarding social welfare, the state has allocated RM173.93 million for the Inisiatif Makmur Pahang (IMPahang) from 2024 to 2026. Furthermore, RM3.5 million has been designated for sports development, including football, netball, and sepak takraw leagues, to encourage community recreation.
