Pahang Barat Plus corridor to boost Bentong economy

The establishment of the Pahang Barat Plus development corridor is expected to position the Bentong district as a strategic gateway to the East Coast of Malaysia. The initiative aims to ensure balanced economic distribution across the state of Pahang, bridging development gaps between the western, eastern, and central regions.

Due to its proximity to the Klang Valley, Bentong is positioned to attract significant investment and rapid progress. Key sectors expected to benefit from the corridor include highland tourism, eco-tourism, and modern agriculture, specifically the Musang King durian industry.
