PAIPPA celebrates 30 years of supporting small producers in Formosa

The Comprehensive Assistance Program for Small Agricultural Producers (PAIPPA) is celebrating its 30th anniversary on September 15. To mark the occasion, farmers held sales fairs in Formosa's capital on Friday, September 11, across three locations: Polideportivo in La Paz, Don Bosco, and the La Nueva Formosa Community Center.

Zully Zabala from PAIPPA's Commercialization Area noted that producers travel from various inland locations, such as Laguna Naineck, Herradura, and Villa Dos Trece, to participate. The program provides free transportation for produce to the capital to facilitate direct sales to consumers. The initiative, launched in 1996 under Governor Gildo Insfrán, was designed to support small producers during the economic shifts of the 1990s, allowing them to remain on their land and providing educational opportunities for their families.
