PaisaOne launches digital lending marketplace across India
PaisaOne, a Hyderabad-based financial products marketplace, has announced a Pan-India expansion. The platform connects salaried and self-employed individuals with over 30 partner banks, NBFCs, and fintech companies, including HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank, and Bajaj Finserv. The service offers digital personal and business loans ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹1 crore, alongside credit score checks and insurance products.
In the broader Indian credit landscape, formal credit access remains low, with only 15% of adults accessing formal credit compared to a global average of 24%.
Regarding loan management, the Reserve Bank of India classifies a loan as a Non-Performing Asset (NPA) when interest or principal payments are overdue for more than 90 consecutive days. While missing a single EMI does not immediately trigger NPA status, lenders initiate recovery actions and automated notifications shortly after a missed payment.
