Paju to install new crosswalk floodlights for pedestrian safety
Paju City is launching a project to install new crosswalk floodlights and repair aging or broken facilities in the Geumchon and Munsan areas to enhance nighttime pedestrian safety.
The initiative aims to improve pedestrian visibility and driver sightlines during nighttime and inclement weather to prevent traffic accidents. The project involves a total budget of 100 million won to cover 108 locations: 24 new installations and 84 replacements or repairs.
Specifically, the city will install 14 new lights in the Geumchon area and 10 in the Munsan area. Additionally, 62 broken units in Geumchon and 22 in Munsan will be repaired. Officials stated that the project is intended to improve safety levels in non-urban areas where lighting conditions are often inferior to city centers.
