Pakatan Harapan Johor to monitor 63 BN manifesto pledges
Pakatan Harapan (PH) Johor has announced plans to strengthen its role as a check and balance within the Johor State Legislative Assembly. To achieve this, the coalition will monitor the implementation of the 63 pledges made in the Barisan Nasional (BN) manifesto during the previous Johor State Election.
Puteri Wangsa State Assemblyman Dr. Maszlee Malik stated that PH Johor will introduce a monthly updated ‘dashboard’ to track the status of these 63 pledges. This tool aims to provide the public with clear information on whether the promises are being implemented, are in progress, or remain unfulfilled. If pledges are not met, the coalition intends to bring the matter to the attention of the public and the state government.
Additionally, Andrew Chen Kah Eng, the State Assemblyman for Stulang, has been appointed as the Chief Balancer for the Johor State Assembly. His appointment was a mutual agreement among PH component parties, selected due to his seniority and experience. While Chen will lead the effort, all seven PH representatives are expected to participate in monitoring the state government's actions.
