Pakistan women's cricket team prepares for Asia Cup

The Pakistan women's cricket team has commenced a training camp in Lahore to prepare for the upcoming Women's Asia Cup in Dubai. To simulate high-pressure competitive environments, the squad, led by captain Fatima Sana, has participated in full Twenty20 matches against the men's team from the Abdul Qadir Cricket Academy.

Fatima Sana stated that the matches against men were intended to help players improve decision-making and learn to remain calm under pressure. She emphasized that the team is focusing on consistent performance throughout the entire tournament rather than targeting specific opponents like India. Sana also noted that the team is working to address previous shortcomings in batting, bowling, and fielding.

Pakistan is placed in Group A alongside India, Thailand, and Hong Kong. Their campaign begins on September 1 against Thailand, followed by a match against India on September 5. The tournament is scheduled to run from August 28 to September 13 in the United Arab Emirates.
