Pakistan Army Accused of Shooting Girl and Parading Body in Balochistan
A video circulating on X alleges that Pakistan Army personnel shot a young girl in Balochistan and placed her body on the front of an armoured vehicle before driving it through local streets. The footage has not been independently verified, but it has provoked widespread outrage and renewed concerns about military conduct in the province, where the army has been conducting an anti‑terror operation since early July that officials say has resulted in dozens of deaths.
Rights groups have long accused security forces of excessive force during operations in Balochistan and neighboring Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The alleged incident comes as unrest spreads to Pakistan‑occupied Kashmir, where reports claim at least 32 protesters were killed in Rawalakot during recent demonstrations. Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif also attracted attention after stating that protesters in Azad Kashmir are “enemies like India.”
