Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir vows continued anti‑terror operations in Balochistan

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, addressed participants of the 20th National Workshop on Balochistan at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. He reaffirmed the military’s resolve to eliminate terrorism, stating that "operations against militant groups will continue with full resolve until this threat and its enablers are eradicated from the country." Munir specifically cited targeted actions against the Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan networks and warned that foreign‑backed proxy groups would be defeated by decisive armed‑force action combined with public support.

He described Balochistan as Pakistan’s pride, rich in natural resources and populated by resilient, patriotic people, and highlighted ongoing federal and provincial development projects aimed at inclusive socio‑economic growth. The army chief also praised the contributions of civil society, academia, the media and youth in strengthening national integration and supporting long‑term peace and prosperity in the province.
