Pakistan conveys condolences to Norway following death of King Harald V

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has conveyed condolences to Norway following the death of King Harald V. In a telephone conversation with Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, Dar expressed sympathies on behalf of the Pakistani President, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and the people of Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has nominated Communications Minister Abdul Aleem Khan to represent Pakistan at the King’s funeral procession in Oslo, scheduled for September 9. The two foreign ministers agreed to maintain close contact and expressed interest in meeting on the sidelines of the upcoming United Nations General Assembly.
