Pakistan Cricket Board sacks coaching staff and sends seven players home

The Pakistan Cricket Board has taken drastic action during the team’s three-Test tour of England, sacking the coaching staff and sending seven players home mid-series.

The dismissed players include Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Ali Usman, Khurram Shahzad, Salman Ali Agha, Aamir Jamal, and Muhammad Awais Zafar. The decision was reportedly made without prior notification to the players, who learned of the changes via social media and messages from family.

This upheaval follows a period of poor performance for the team, including heavy losses at Headingley and Lord’s. Pakistan has lost 15 of its last 20 Test matches and currently sits at the bottom of the World Test Championship standings.
