Pakistan cricket team faces warnings ahead of England Test series

Former Pakistan cricketers have issued warnings and strategic advice to the national team ahead of their upcoming Test series in England, scheduled to begin on August 19.

Rashid Latif has urged the Pakistan Cricket Board to limit Babar Azam’s media interactions during the tour to protect him from intense scrutiny by the English press. Latif suggested that former captain Shan Masood should serve as the primary media representative instead.

Shoaib Akhtar also cautioned the squad, noting that the England tour will be significantly more challenging than their recent series against the West Indies. While Pakistan recently leveled their series against the West Indies 1-1, including an eight-wicket victory in the second Test, Akhtar warned that England is unlikely to repeat the errors made by the West Indian side. The team's recent overseas struggles have also impacted their standing in the World Test Championship.
