Pakistan defense ties with US firm spark scrutiny over Israel policy

A report from Eurasia Review highlights a growing contradiction in Pakistan’s foreign policy regarding Israel. While Islamabad officially maintains that it does not recognize Israel and continues to support an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, its international networks are increasingly intersecting with Israeli-linked entities.

Specifically, the US-based defense technology company Powerus announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Pakistan Army on September 16, 2026, regarding unmanned and autonomous systems. While the Pakistan military confirmed procurement discussions, it has not publicly confirmed the MoU.

The report notes that several key figures within Powerus have significant ties to Israel. Co-founder and Chief Vision Officer Ziv Marom is an Israel Defence Forces veteran, and other leadership members, including Michael Sinensky and Amy Bove, are identified as being linked to Israeli community organizations.
