Pakistan Embassy Holds Kashmir Solidarity Events in Ankara

In Ankara, the Pakistan Embassy organized two events to highlight the Kashmir issue and reinforce Turkey‑Pakistan ties. On 7 May, the Keçiören municipality hosted an art exhibition featuring photographs of the Kashmiri struggle; the opening was attended by Keçiören Deputy Mayor Dr. Atila Zorlu, Pakistan Embassy Deputy Shaiq Ahmed Bhutto and local citizens. Zorlu said, “Our solidarity with Kashmir remains forever,” while Bhutto thanked Turkish officials for their support.

Later, the embassy residence held a “Kashmir Exploitation Day” ceremony hosted by Ambassador Yusuf Cüneyd. Guests included former minister Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, MP Mustafa Kaya and dozens of invitees. Messages from Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif were read, and Cüneyd condemned India’s revocation of Kashmir’s special status, calling for a UN‑backed plebiscite.
