Pakistan enhances connectivity between Karachi, Quetta, and Gwadar

Infrastructure and connectivity improvements are underway in Pakistan to link Karachi, Quetta, and Gwadar. Airlines have reduced airfares on routes connecting Gwadar to Karachi and Quetta to enhance affordability and boost regional connectivity. South Air and Pakistan International Airlines serve these routes, with the Gwadar-Quetta fare seeing a reduction of over Rs10,000.

Simultaneously, the federal government is advancing the Rs. 415 billion upgrade of the N-25 Karachi-Quetta-Chaman Highway, known as the Pakistan Expressway. This project aims to significantly reduce travel times and establish a major transport and trade corridor linking Karachi with Balochistan and the Chaman border. The National Highway Authority is overseeing the development to drive socio-economic progress in the region.
