Pakistan EPS Center urges workers to claim dormant insurance

The Pakistan EPS Center is urging Pakistani workers who previously worked in South Korea under the Employment Permit System (E-9) to claim their ‘Dormant Insurance’. These funds, which include Departure Guarantee and Return Cost Insurance, are intended to cover severance pay and return airfare.

These unclaimed benefits are currently held by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRDK). Many funds have remained unclaimed for over three years, reaching the legal statute of limitations. Due to outdated contact information, the EPS Center, in collaboration with the Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), has published a list of eligible workers on the official OEC website.

Eligible individuals can verify their status online and must submit applications to the Pakistan EPS Center via registered mail. Alternatively, workers who have recently returned may apply directly to Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance or seek assistance through the Pakistan EPS Center.
