Pakistan FIA disrupts human smuggling networks

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Pakistan has conducted several operations to dismantle human smuggling networks. In recent actions, officials intercepted approximately 30 to 40 women at airports who were being prepared for illegal transit to Saudi Arabia. Authorities expressed concerns that these women were being trafficked for illegal and immoral activities, including prostitution.

In another operation, FIA Immigration Karachi detained two brothers from Sialkot who attempted to use Umrah visas as a cover for illegal migration. Using UV light inspections, officials identified forged Italian residence permits and exit stamps. The individuals reportedly planned to travel to Kosovo to seek asylum before attempting to enter Italy illegally. The suspects were handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) for further investigation into the role of agents and financial transactions involved in the scheme.
