During a National Assembly session chaired by Speaker Sardar Ayaz, the Ministry of Finance disclosed that the government granted over 11 trillion rupees in tax exemptions between the 2020-21 and 2024-25 fiscal years. The total exemptions include 580 billion rupees in income tax, 1.274 trillion rupees in sales tax, and 499 billion rupees in customs duties.

In other parliamentary developments, the Ministry of Planning reported that 518,000 youths have received loans under the Prime Minister's Youth Business and Agriculture Loan Program, with a target to train 230,000 more. Additionally, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has mandated a minimum of three credit hours of internship or field experience for undergraduate degree programs and is reviewing the national curriculum for 47 disciplines.

Regarding agricultural costs, the government denied a shortage of urea but acknowledged that the price of DAP has increased from 14,500 to 17,500 rupees. A new policy to provide relief for LPG prices to low-income households is expected to be finalized within one to two days.
