Pakistan Higher Education Commission rolls out digital degree verification and university management outreach programmes

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to integrate HEC’s degree verification system with PSEB’s upcoming national digital workforce platform. The MoU was witnessed by HEC Chairman Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar and PSEB CEO Mr. Faisal Jeddy. The integration will create Pakistan’s first verified digital talent repository, allowing employers domestically and internationally to access authenticated academic credentials and improve graduate employability.

HEC’s National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) also launched a National Outreach Programme for university management staff at Quaid‑i‑Azam University. The programme, running until 3 August 2026, provides training on professional communication, AI for workplace efficiency, strategic planning, financial governance and other modern management skills. Director NAHE Dr. Muneer Ahmed Mirjat highlighted the initiative’s role in strengthening institutional performance and supporting socio‑economic development.
