Videos of chaotic celebrations during Pakistan's 79th Independence Day have gone viral on social media, showing crowds reacting disruptively to public festivities.

In Lahore's Liberty Market, a large cake themed after the Pakistani flag was cut, but the event quickly descended into disorder as crowds rushed the table to grab pieces of the cake. Similar scenes of people scrambling for food were reported in major cities including Karachi and Islamabad.

In Peshawar, footage emerged showing clashes between groups during the celebrations, with reports of people throwing bottles at one another. Social media users have reacted to the footage with various comments, ranging from mockery of the lack of discipline to critiques of the country's current state.
